One of the most elegant artists in history, and the only Arab artist honored among international fashion icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II and Jacqueline Kennedy.

Throughout her career, she presented 320 songs, and her song “Al Atlal” was ranked among the best hundred songs produced in the twentieth century. The poet Ahmed Rami is the most cooperative poet with her, as he presented 126 songs, while Bayram Al-Tunisi presented her 122 songs, and she also participated in acting and singing in 6 films, including Wedad and Dinars, which won me many honors and awards from many countries of the world.
Umm Kulthum began her artistic career at the age of ten when her father listened to a chant in her voice, so he decided from that time to participate with him in reviving the parties and occasions to which he was invited, and she found an opportunity to sing in his chanting band. And Abu Al-Ela Muhammad and they were well-known composers, so they persuaded him to leave the village and move to Cairo, where fame, art and wealth are located, and that was the turning point in Umm Kulthum’s life, especially after she settled with her family permanently in Cairo 1921.
To participate in the concerts, Sheikh Abu Al-Ela Muhammad composed the song “Al-Sab Fadhah Oyounuh” for her from the words of Ahmed Rami, then the musician Muhammad Al-Qasabji recognized her in 1924 and began preparing it artistically, and chose for her the first musical “takht” instead of her lining from the turbans, then she took off the “abaya” Al-Aqal”, wore ordinary clothes, and became famous after the monologue “If I Forgive and Forget the Evil” achieved the highest sales in 1928, and her meeting with the composer Riad Al-Sunbati was a turning point in her artistic career in 1935, and she collaborated with major poets, including Ahmed Shawqi, Hafez Ibrahim and Ahmed Rami.

Fatima Ibrahim El-Sayed El-Beltagy “Umm Kulthum” was born on May 4, 1908, in the village of Tamay El-Zahayra in Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt.
