Platense took the top spot in the Argentine Premier League following achieving its second victory in the new season, defeating Velez Sarsfield with a goal in the second phase of the competition, which also witnessed the victory of Central Cordoba Santiago over Boca Juniors with the same result.
Platense decided the match once morest Velez Sarsfield with a single goal scored by Evan Gomez in the 74th minute. Platense topped the competition table with six points, while Velez Sarsfield’s balance was frozen at one point.
Central Cordoba also beat Boca Juniors with a lone goal scored by Francisco Gonzalez Mitelli in the 57th minute.
