One of the big problems was the resellers, because in the resale market the PS5 was offered at extremely high prices, doubling or tripling its real cost.
For this reason, Sony has announced through the GamesIndustry.biz web portal that in the remainder of this year there will be an increase in the production of consoles.

According to Daniel Ahmad, a gaming industry analyst, the PS4 managed to sell 20 million consoles in 471 days, surpassing the PS5, which did so in 568.
