Bethesda’s Todd Howard has revealed the Starfield season will be released on September 6, 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.

The long-awaited role-playing space epic from Bethesda, Starfield, coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC later this year, promises to be mighty big. Four mighty cities. 1000 planets. And lots of quests. Loud Todd Howardthe creative director of the game, will Starfield main campaign season not be as long as many would have liked.
Howard explains that while the game will have more main quests than previous Bethesda games, the main campaign won’t be drastically longer. The playing time of the main story is expected between 30 and 40 hours, similar to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. While the game will be a bit longer than previous Bethesda titles, it’s not a never-ending odyssey. And somehow I think that’s okay.
Starfield: Hundreds of hours of gameplay?
However, Starfield offers a huge game world thanks to the procedural generation technology. The size of the universe for you to explore is vast and full of possibilities.
The main quest, however, isn’t designed to keep you engaged indefinitely, but rather to tell a compelling story that you experience with your own character. And at 30-40 hours, Starfield’s playing time is quite okay. You will probably (like me) get lost in the side quests and spend hundreds of hours on them.

On September 6th the time has finally come: Starfield will be released worldwide on Xbox Series X/S and PC. You have the choice of either experiencing the game via Xbox Game Pass or purchasing it for the regular price of around 70 euros. But not for the Xbox One (or the PS5).
