A discarded gas cartridge with phosgene warfare agent in front of a police station in Gmunden caused a stir on Friday. An employee of a disposal company is said to have brought the cartridge there.
According to media reports on Sunday, an employee of a Pinsdorf waste disposal company discovered a container with a gas cartridge labeled “Phosgene”. This is a very toxic gas that is fatal to humans.
The man brought the object to the police in Gmunden and put it there. Subsequently, experts from the army were deployed to pick up the container. It will be investigated further on Monday.
