In February 2020, The Pokémon Company and ILCA, a studio that we recently found behind the controllers of the remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, brought to life one of the applications that all trainers around the world dreamed of. Thanks to its cloud system, you could store any of your Pokémon to send it to a completely different game to continue your romance with your favorite pocket creature. Today, the duo announced an update that will expand the possibilities!

The arrival of the last two Pokémon boxes was long overdue

Since Pokémon Home has existed, the arrival of a new opus has been scrutinized very closely by fans and users of the application (available on Nintendo Switch and on smartphones). So inevitably, when deploying the Diamond and Pearl remake last November and, more recently, Pokemon Legends: Arceusplayers have been impatiently awaiting confirmation of potential compatibility between the two apps. Result of the races: six months after the release of the remake and three months after the release of the little revolution in the Pokémon universe, still nothing. A silence that is all the heavier because it implied difficulties on the side of ILCA and GameFreak.

Finally, more fear than harm: things are back to normal on the side of the Pokemon Home application since The Pokémon Company has just formalized the arrival of version 2.0 which will, in particular, bring your pocket creatures from Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Pearl Sparkling as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus to the storage center, and vice versa by allowing you to recover Pokémon from your Pokémon Home bank within these two new versions. However, that’s not all! To encourage you to use this greatly useful application when it comes to completing your Pokédex, some surprises await you !

Arceus and Diamond/Pearl Legend transfers confirmed!

Both to reward fans of the license following this late announcement of version 2.0 and the most fervent users of Pokémon Home, The Pokémon Company has planned a few gifts to celebrate the compatibility of these two new games with the service. The idea is therefore to offer a trio of Pokémon to those who will use the transfer between the game and the application. : Thus, when you deposit a Pokémon from Pokemon Legends: Arceus in the Switch version of Pokémon Home, you will receive the three starters of the game (Brindibou, Hericendre and Moustillon) in the mobile version of Pokémon Home in the form of a Mystery Gift. By the way, a little quirkiness: since the Poké Balls are different within Pokemon Legends: Arceusthey will appear as Strange Balls in other games in the franchise.

The principle is the same for male and female players of Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl : by depositing a Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl Pokémon to the Switch version of Pokémon Home, a Mystery Gift containing Chimpanzee, Piplup, and Tortypush will be waiting for them in the mobile version of Pokémon Home. Note that the six Pokémon will have, on the one hand, their maximum effort levels and, on the other, their hidden talents. For the moment, the date of the launch of the 2.0 update of the application has not been announced, but the availability of this should appear in the coming weeksaccording to The Pokémon Company.
