Warsaw – Poland’s new center-left government is planning a comprehensive reform of church financing. In the future, there will be a voluntary taxpayer levy for religious communities, said Prime Minister Donald Tusk, according to Kathpress, after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday in Warsaw. The state should no longer pay pensions and other social insurance for clergy as before.
