Police from the Fontana and Ontario Police Departments in Los Angeles were in pursuit of an armed suspect who hijacked a construction vehicle on July 26. The vehicle lumbered down the freeway, sparking with a roadworks sign attached as it struck other motorists. The suspect then jumped out of the vehicle before being restrained by a K-9 unit.
