Police Nationwide Speeding Crackdown – 24 Hour Operation

2023-11-20 18:11:00

By announcing the operation, which will last 24 hours, the police want to “encourage motorists to slow down and respect the authorized speed limits at all times and in all places”.

During the previous edition, the Federal Highway Police and no less than 130 police zones carried out checks at 556 locations. In total, more than 4% of those stopped had been speeding.

“Along with driving under the influence and the use of GSM while driving, excessive speed is one of the main causes of road accidents,” it is recalled in the press release.
