A passionate drama between two police officers left one person dead and one injured at the Victorino Santaella Hospital.
According to reports, the event occurred this Sunday at 10:00 am inside a residence in Los Teques, where both officials were sharing.
The drama occurred when both people, identified as Inspector Cristi Méndez and her partner, Kelvis Berríos, chief officer, got into a heated argument for which the reasons are unknown.
Shortly after, Berríos grabbed his gun and shot his wife in the head. Seeing her practically without vital signs, the man did the same by shooting her in the forehead.
After hearing the shots, residents of the area approached the residence, while others notified the police agencies and the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) of the shooting.
After a few minutes, the injured were taken to the aforementioned care center. Shortly after, Cristi died and the official’s state of health is of a reserved prognosis.
Commissions from the Scientific, Criminal and Forensic Investigation Corps appeared at the site. The investigations into that event had barely begun.
Both officers were assigned to the General Directorate of the Autonomous Institute of the Police of the state of Miranda. She served at the El Cabotaje bomb, while he worked as an escort for an official from the Miranda Government.
