According to reports from various media outlets, the man was shot while attempting to escape in his vehicle. Accompanied by a female passenger, the couple was pursued by the police for reasons yet to be disclosed while travelling from Nivelles. The car eventually found itself trapped in a cul-de-sac at Clos des lilas in Seneffe. Despite efforts to subdue the man, the police were forced to use lethal force. The woman was unharmed in the incident. As per Sudinfo, numerous teams from the Mariemont police zone were present along with around twenty police vehicles. The victim was reportedly involved in narcotics-related activities, having been previously known to the police. The Charleroi prosecutor’s office has declined to make any statements on the case until Friday.

The police had to shoot the man, who did not survive. The woman in the fleeing vehicle was not injured.
Several teams from the Mariemont police zone were deployed. According to Sudinfo, around twenty police vehicles were still on site at noon. The individual would be known to the police, for acts of narcotics.
Contacted, the Charleroi prosecutor’s office indicates that it will not make any communication on this case before this Friday.
