Ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko tried to leave Ukraine for Poland, but was not allowed through by border guards, Rada deputy Irina Gerashchenko said on Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
“Without explaining the reasons,” Gerashchenko commented on the situation.
Poroshenko was reportedly on his way to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly through the Rava-Ruska checkpoint of the Lviv customs in a Range Rover personal vehicle.
Earlier it was reported that businessman Viktor Medvedchuk, who was detained in early April, testified against Poroshenko, giving details of the coal purchase scheme in 2014-2015. The Security Service of Ukraine summoned for questioning ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, former ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov.
