Just over a month after its discovery, Magic: The Gathering’s “One Ring” playing card, one of a kind and the rarest of all time, has been purchased by rapper Post Malone.

In a video posted to TikTok, Malone and the card’s previously anonymous owner, now identified as Brook Trafton, can be seen excitedly examining the card and saying, “Yeah, I’ll take it.”

Mr. Trafton is then seen in tears hugging Malone. Happy with the sale, he is also seen raising his arms in the air.
Mr. Trafton wanted to sell his card directly to another player and collector of Magic, the community to which Malone belongs.

“When I found The One Ring, the first person that came to mind was Post Malone,” Mr. Trafton commented on the spot.
“I’ve been playing MTG since I was a kid and obviously it would be amazing to keep this map. But for a guy like me, being able to sell it is life changing. I was really hoping it would go to someone who

would appreciate it as much as I do,” he said.
In addition to the money, the lucky seller also had the chance to meet Post Malone.
“It’s my dream come true. Meeting Post Malone and asking him to buy me the One Ring card is a moment straight out of a fairy tale. Things like that don’t happen to people like me, I guess it’s magic. I am eternally grateful to you, ”he finally enthused.

The One Ring card is part of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.
While there are other copies of the One Ring in the game, publisher Wizards of the Coast has also created a unique, serialized copy covered in gold foil and engraved with the original inscription of the Sauron’s speech in Elvish script, to reflect the unique nature of the Ring in Tolkien’s universe.

The card has been authenticated by rating company PSA, which has assigned it a Mint 9 rating.
