Extremely moving moment this Saturday, May 13 during the graduation ceremony at the University of Idaho. The establishment wanted to honor the memory of its four students who were brutally murdered on November 13, 2022 in the house they shared.

The parents of Madison Mogen, 21 when she was killed, took the stage to posthumously accept their daughter’s bachelor’s degree in marketing. Under thunderous applause, they had great difficulty in holding back their tears, reports the «Daily Mail».

The parents of Kaylee Goncalves, also 21, received their daughter’s baccalaureate in general studies. Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, 20, who were in a relationship, were honored with a certificate of studies, in marketing for her, in leisure and sports management for him. A fifth student received a posthumous degree after his death in a car accident.

The University of Idaho has created scholarships in the names of murdered students and is working to create a memorial.

It took more than a month and a half of investigation to identify and arrest a suspect, Bryan Kohberger, 28 years old. He is due to appear in a preliminary hearing on June 26. Kaylee Goncalves’ family have already promised to be there and stand up to her: ‘I can’t wait to see the evidence. …And then I will bring them, said to > his father, Steve Goncalves. And he’s going to realize that it’s the family that’s going to make sure he doesn’t get away with it.”
