Power Knot relaunches BCG product line, releases updated BCG-150 shredder – Waste Today

Power Knot LLC has relaunched its commercial and industrial waste management BCG product line alongside an updated BCG-150 shredder.

Commercial and industrial operations facing bulky waste management challenges have a new equipment option on the market. Power Knot LLC, an onsite organic waste management solutions provider based in Fremont, California, announced a comprehensive relaunch of its BCG product line. The rollout arrives paired with an updated model of the company’s industrial shredding technology.

Engineering Purpose and Material Processing Capabilities

The BCG shredder product line targets commercial and industrial settings that handle difficult, oversized materials requiring volume reduction before disposal or recovery. Utilizing powerful cutting knives, the equipment systematically scales down bulky refuse into smaller, more manageable pieces to simplify handling.

The machinery processes a diverse spectrum of organic and agricultural output. According to company specifications, the series handles food waste, animal bones, meat processing byproducts, fruit and vegetable waste, and agricultural refuse.

Integration with Onsite Waste Management Portfolios

Operators can deploy the BCG shredder series either as standalone equipment or as an integrated component within a larger waste management architecture. Reducing material size prepares the waste for downstream recovery methods, including biodigestion, composting, rendering, and recycling.

The updated shredders complement Power Knot’s portfolio of onsite technologies, which includes LFC biodigesters and auxiliary waste handling equipment. This configuration allows facilities to manage continuous waste streams directly at their location.

Milnes noted that the updated model directly addresses operational flexibility needs.

“The BCG-150 shredder gives our customers greater flexibility to reduce difficult materials to a manageable size and prepare them for the next stage of processing.”

Iain Milnes, President of Power Knot

Market Availability and Company Background

The BCG shredder series and the updated BCG-150 shredder are commercially available. Commercial, industrial, and military organizations globally utilize the manufacturer’s systems to reduce their carbon footprint by moving, lifting, grinding, digesting, pumping, filtering, and reporting on waste streams.
