Close to 25,000 customers were without electricity when double blackouts hit Gotland on Saturday. Helagotland reports that readers have contacted them from Fårö in the north to Vamlingbo in the south.
– We don’t know what the fault is, it’s an unplanned power cut. We are troubleshooting right now, said Andreas Allestad, at Gotland’s energy, early on.
It is supposed to be a “technical error”, according to the company.
Earlier in the day, Gotland’s website was down.
– We are in the process of troubleshooting and adding the subscribers.
By 8 p.m., almost all customers had their electricity restored.
