PRD denounces former Governor Jaime Bonilla before the FGR for usurpation of profession The Party of the Democratic Revolution (FART) filed a complaint with the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) against the former Governor of Baja California, Jaime Bonillafor the crime of usurpation of profession, as well as for showing off as an industrial engineer from UNAM.

“When there is no evidence in the archives of the university itself and the Public Education Secretariat (SEP) that he has studied at the highest house of studies and that he has a degree and professional license,” according to the party.

The complaint was filed by the PRD leaders Ángel Ávila, Karen Quiroga, Camerino Márquez and Verónica Juárez, who accompanied Jaime Martínez Veloz to present the complaint, which has testimonials and official documents that prove said crime.

Regarding the case, the representative of the PRD before the INE, Ángel Ávila Romero, accused that Morena’s brand “is lies and cheating, the case of Jaime Bonilla is an exceptional case of corruption and protection of a criminal. We are going to continue denouncing Morena’s cheating.”

He explained that in Baja California a fraud was committed that was supported by the Federal Executive, “the dual nationality of Bonilla is clear, that he was prevented from being governor and they allowed it; The irregularities of the ruling party continue to accumulate, in the PRD we will not allow more impunity”.

Meanwhile, the former candidate for governor of Baja California, Jaime Martínez Veloz, accused that Jaime Bonilla, when he was a federal deputy, held a degree in administration and had studied at UNAM; later in the registry of the Federal Government itself and of the Senate of the Republic he appears as an industrial engineer. “He has always promoted himself as an industrial engineer, but today the UNAM and the SEP have officially responded that there is no record as a student or professional,” he explained.

He insisted that this fact demonstrates his moral quality and the way he does politics. “It seems incredible that this person with these characteristics has deceived Baja Californian society and Mexican society. Bonilla led us to misgovernment that now maintains the entity as one of the most violent places in the Republic. The role that Morena has played is a negative role with zero results.

For her part, the Secretary for Gender Equality, Karen Quiroga, said that according to article 250 of the Federal Penal Code “we are requesting a sanction of 1 to 6 years in prison and a monetary penalty, we must analyze all the acts that as governor signed under this assumption that he is an engineer”.

“Today I vigorously protest as a university student because he has stained UNAM, because there is not a single record that he has an account number, he has never been a student at the university,” he said.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the Nueva Izquierda, Verónica Juárez, said that these facts denote “that Morena is a lie, fraud and demagoguery as was Jaime Bonilla when he was in charge of the government of Baja California”, for which he announced that since the Chamber of Deputies “will follow up on the political trial that was filed and is in force for having promoted the Bonilla law to extend his mandate, we are facing another of the falsehoods of the former governor,” he concluded.
