Interview canceled before mega final

After some back and forth, according to the current status, there should be no interview by US President Joe Biden before the Super Bowl on the broadcasting US television network this year.

Biden speaking at Fox is “wrong”, Fox Corp. canceled the interview, the White House announced on Friday (local time), as US media such as the AP news agency reported. There had previously been confusion about a possible Biden interview that was to be conducted around the final of the National Football League between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles (on Monday night/0.30 a.m. in the Sport24 live ticker). President Biden was looking forward to the Fox Soul call to discuss the Super Bowl, the state of the Union and critical issues affecting the daily lives of Black Americans, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre tweeted. However, Fox Corp. asked to cancel the interview.

Hours later, a spokeswoman for the network revealed that Fox Soul was looking forward to the interview. The White House then denied that this would happen.

Traditionally, around the Super Bowl, an interview with the US President is broadcast on the broadcaster’s network, and this is usually broadcast the days before. Biden spoke at CBS News in 2021 and at NBC News the previous year. Democrat Biden has not given a formal interview to conservative broadcaster Fox News since the beginning of his presidency.
