The Head of the Execution Department in Beirut, Judge Gabi Shaheen, issued a decision placing a precautionary seizure on the in-kind funds belonging to each of the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, his brother Raja Salameh, and his assistant, Marianne Howayek, in Lebanon.

The decision was implemented on part of this property pending the completion of its implementation on the remaining part.

The state, represented by the head of the Cases Authority at the Ministry of Justice, Judge Helena Iskandar, the plaintiff in the file of the two brothers, Salama and Al-Huwaik, requested that the precautionary seizure be placed on these properties, and the Execution Department approved her request.

The precautionary seizure of this property comes to preserve the state’s right in the event that a judgment is issued convicting the three defendants, and in the event of acquittal, the seizure of this property will be lifted.
