I can only congratulate Mr. Hödlmoser on this article (“The wolf cannot be driven away with populism and a few bullets” from July 9, 2023). Yes, man overlooks that we only have one earth to live on. If people continue to mistreat flora and fauna like this, the next generations will not understand it. The fact is: Wild animal monitoring has been required of us by the government since 2005. Nothing happened. Predators are very important for our biodiversity. Perhaps we should talk about it one evening in the SN room. Speak because they are facts. There is no discussion there. And one thing is also a fact: every animal owner in Austria has to fulfill the legal framework. Perhaps the farmers’ chamberlains should read up on the basic legal principles.
