Today, Friday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected the projects of axes and roads in Giza Governorate, especially the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer, which is a new artery within Giza Governorate.
The axis is divided into four main sectors, and they are as follows: The first sector: starting from Al-Munib Circle, passing through Tersa Bridge, Al-Omraniya Bridge, Al-Haram Street and Faisal Bridge, all the way to Saft Al-Laban, with a length of 5 km, and serves all traffic directions above the Safat Al-Laban Bridge.
The second sector: with a length of 2 km, connecting Saft El Laban to Gamaet El Dewal El Arab Street, passing through El Sudan Street and Boulaq El Dakrour metro station.
And the third sector: It starts from Arab League Street to Al-Warraq Circle, with a distance of 5 km, passing through Sudan Street, 26th of July Corridor and Al-Barajil Bridge.
And the fourth sector: It connects the Warraq Ring Road with the Tahya Misr axis, with a length of 3 km.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the President also inspected the Ahmed Orabi Corridor, which connects Mansheya Road and Ahmed Orabi Street, with a length of 11 km and a width of 6 traffic lanes in each direction. An alternative that solves the problem of increasing traffic congestion on the 26th of July Corridor from the Ring Road to Lebanon Square and Sphinx Square in Mohandessin.
The spokesperson explained that the axes of the new Giza governorate represent lifelines and new axial roads aimed at facilitating movement and shortening the time and distance within the governorate of Giza and linking it to the neighboring governorates, within the framework of the national plan for axes and roads throughout all governorates of the Republic, which helps to speed up and increase the rate of economic development according to The country’s sustainable development strategy.
