However, through social networks a photo of President Petro greeting Biden has gone viral, with messages like “from you to you” and others highlighting that image.
Petro entered the White House but to participate with other leaders in the Economic Alliance of the Americas event, but not a meeting alone with Biden.

At the end of that alliance session, the head of state said that he told Biden that the massacre in Gaza should stop, in the midst of the war in the Middle East.
“The massacre could not continue to be allowed, the breakdown of International Law, which we are contemplating today, produces more violence, more barbarity and democratic destruction,” Petro said.
