Last year, the first year of President Yoon Seok-yeol’s inauguration, it was confirmed that the Presidential Office used a total of 3.67427 billion won for business promotion expenses. This is about 800 million won less than the amount used by the Blue House for business promotion in 2017, the first year of former President Moon Jae-in’s inauguration.
According to the “Execution Details of Office of the President and Office of National Security in the 4th Quarter of 2022” released on the website by the Office of the President on the 25th, the Office of the President used a total of 1.35618 billion won for business promotion in the 4th quarter of last year. If the amount of business promotion expenses for the first half and the third quarter previously disclosed by the President’s Office is included, the total amount of business promotion expenses used last year totaled 3.67 billion won.
President Yoon took office on May 10, and the presidential office spent 376.59 million won in the first half of last year and 1.9415 billion won in the third quarter (July-September) for business promotion until the end of June of last year.
Simply looking at the amount of expenditure in the first year of inauguration, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration spent more than 800 million won less than the Moon Jae-in administration. In 2017, the first year of his inauguration, the Blue House, which was led by former President Moon Jae-in, spent a total of 4.49975 billion won on business promotion expenses. From May 10, 2017, when former President Moon took office, to June 30, 399.56 million won was spent, and 4.1 billion 190,000 won was spent in the second half of the year.
