The presidential office plans to file a complaint with the police sooner or later with Minjoo Party spokesman Kim Eui-gyeom, who raised suspicions of additional stock price manipulation by Mrs. Kim Kun-hee, wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol, for defamation by spreading false information.
An official from the presidential office said, “We are reviewing legal measures, including accusations against Congressman Kim.”
Earlier, in a written briefing on the 27th, spokesperson Kim said, “In the trial of the Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation case, Mrs. Kim’s name was mentioned at least 300 times, and the name of President Yoon’s mother-in-law Choi Eun-soon was also mentioned more than 100 times.” It was revealed through the mouth of the prosecutor in charge that the accounts of Mrs. Kim and Mr. Choi were also used in another operation, ‘Woori Technology’.”
Regarding this, the President’s Office issued a press notice on the same day, saying, “Spokesperson Kim’s written briefing is an absurd lie.” The categorical announcement cannot be justified under any excuse and does not serve the national interest in any way.”
When the presidential office’s accusation policy became known, spokesperson Kim issued a statement today and said, “Welcome with both hands up,” and said, “This is a good opportunity to properly investigate Mrs. Kim.”
At the same time, he raised his voice, saying, “It is difficult to believe in the fairness of the police investigation.”
