The screening bus will be in Prilly from March 12 to 14.

Unified

The Unisanté health bus will stop in Prilly, from Tuesday March 12 to Thursday March 14 on the Place du Marché in order to offer screening for the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading cause of mortality and are closely responsible for 30% of deaths in Switzerland. “They are also the third cause of hospitalization with more than 110,000 people hospitalized due to cardiovascular diseases. In addition, more than 30,000 people suffer from myocardial infarction or stroke each year,” explains Unisanté.

While many accidents can be avoided by improving lifestyle habits (smoking, unbalanced diet, excess weight or sedentary lifestyle), others are caused by so-called silent risk factors: high blood pressure, excess bad cholesterol, lack of good cholesterol. and diabetes.

Better protect your organs

“Knowing your risk in time and correcting the risk factors is what best protects your heart, your blood vessels and your brain,” explains Unisanté, whose health assessment also helps detect people at high risk who are unaware and who require medical support.

The bus runs all year round in the canton to offer a consultation which lasts thirty minutes and costs 50 francs. The screening is done in two parts, between analyzes (blood sampling, cholesterol level control, measurements) and personalized advice which is given by a health professional.

The health check allows you to know your risks in time and to prevent possible dangers.
