The heart of the 7-year-old Muhammad Istanbuli might not bear the shock. The circulating story says that his fear was greater than what his eyes saw, black clothes and scary and masked faces having fun in the castle of Tire in order to shoot a video to reap a large number of views. In the details, according to what was reported on social media, the child’s heart stopped following seeing a group of young men running, wearing scary clothes and holding swords in their hands, while filming a video in the city of Tyre.

This tragedy left its shadow over the city and the family who lost their son in an unexpected way. Despite his great sadness and pain, An-Nahar learned that the child’s father, Haider Istanbuli, filed a direct complaint once morest those responsible for his son’s death, because he died as a result of a direct heart failure.

Cardiologist and forensic pathologist Dr. Afif Khafaja explains to Al-Nahar that “Usually, if a child dies at this age (7 years), there must be medical reasons present, even if no health symptoms or an undiagnosed medical condition appear, such as a congenital malformation in the the heart, narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart, or a problem with the heart’s electricity, and thus these causes may lead to cardiac arrest.”

He points out that “there are no bruises, blows, or any mark on his body, there is only a small scratch on his nose that is slight and superficial. What happened is an accident, and since he most likely has a heart problem – even if it was not diagnosed – it led to the heart stopping.” This incident led to tension and the body reacted in this way, but this does not mean that everyone who is subjected to shock will have their heart stopped.”

Doctor Khafaga wrote in his medical report that, “The cause of death was heart failure that led to rapid pulmonary congestion. Blood and urine samples were also drawn to ensure that there is no toxic or harmful substance, and to remove all other hypotheses and causes that may cause death in turn.”

For his part, the mayor of Tyre, Hassan Dabouq, described the incident as a “great tragedy,” adding: “We sought to know the details of what happened to prevent a recurrence of the disaster. We have heard the news circulating regarding the fun of some young men dressed in black and carrying iron swords in their hands. Seeing them, he was so frightened that his heart stopped immediately.”
