Preventing Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: The Gilly Incident

Carbon monoxide, also called the “silent killer”, is believed to be the cause of the unrest in Gilly this Monday. A massive emergency intervention took place in the morning, around 7 a.m., in an apartment building on Chaussée de Fleurus. Firefighters and police rushed to the scene.

This is carbon monoxide poisoning, caused by a leak. Thirteen people were at the scene. Nine of them were taken to hospital. Their days are not in danger.
