Doctor of preventive and anti-aging medicine Natalya Zubareva warns against losing fluid kilograms and problems with losing weight when drinking alcohol. Emphasizes that dieting typically means creating a calorie deficit, and alcohol increases the total caloric intake of the diet. For example, one hundred grams of a martini can contain up to 400 kcal, and a mojito up to 230 kcal. This creates a risk of gaining extra pounds.

She also points out another problem with alcohol – it stimulates the appetite, which can lead to eating high-calorie foods during euphoria, undermining dieting efforts.

Beer stands out separately, which often leads to the so-called “beer belly.” Despite the low calorie content of the drink, the problem is that the body begins to break down alcohol first, and high-carbohydrate snacks (chips, crackers, nuts) are stored as excess weight, avoiding which is an important aspect of the diet.

Natalia Zubareva emphasizes that to achieve a beautiful body shape and healthy skin, you need a balanced diet, avoiding alcohol consumption.
