Today, the local currency maintains the strength observed last week, between the publications of economic data from the United States and Mexico, which reinforced the optimistic view of the market about an early cut in the interest rates of both central banks, commented the specialists of Monex financial group.

At the moment, the peso is driven mostly by the dollar retreatconsidering that tomorrow February inflation will be reported in the United States, which could confirm the expectations that investors crave, the analysts added.

He Dollar Index, which compares the behavior of the US currency against the other six main currencies in the world, dawns with an appreciation of 0.1%. The euro falls 0.06% against the greenback, while the pound loses 0.21%.

According to information from various banking institutions, at opening, the US dollar is sold this day for up to 18.00 pesos in branches of the Inbursa bank, while the maximum value for purchase is 16.50 pesos at the counters of the Inbursa bank.
