Priced around $6,000, OPPO hits the clamshell market-ePrice.HK

More and more manufacturers are launching foldable phones. After launching the Find N foldable in the Chinese market in December last year, it is said that OPPO will follow Samsung and Huawei to launch a clamshell foldable. The latest news from China indicates that OPPO’s clamshell will adopt a more affordable pricing strategy, which is cheaper than both the Galaxy Z Flip3 and P50 Pocket.

Low price or $6,000 available

According to the news, the price of the OPPO clamshell is regarding 5,000 yuan (equivalent to HK$5,938), while the prices of the Galaxy Z Flip3 and P50 Pocket in the Chinese market are 7,399 and 8,988 yuan (regarding HK$8,788 and HK$10,675) respectively. Although the specific specifications of the OPPO clamshell are unknown, it is said that it will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor.

The new folding machine or the third season will be released

If the revelations are true, OPPO may not release this new phone until this summer or later, because Qualcomm has not released this upgraded flagship processor yet.
