It has been announced that Prince Akishino and his wife will be attending the National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities to be held this month.
Governor Shioda announced on the 6th that Prince Akishino and his wife will visit Kagoshima on October 27th and 28th. On the 28th, he will attend the opening ceremony of the National Sports Tournament for People with Disabilities to be held in Kagoshima City, and will also be attending a basketball competition in Aira City and touring the Child Development Support Center in Isa City.
Prince Akishino’s visit to Kagoshima follows the National High School Cultural Festival in July, and it is the first time in four years that the two have visited together since the High School Sports Festival.
It was also announced on the 6th that Princess Kako will be visiting Kagoshima on the 28th to observe the competitions at the Kagoshima Tournament.
