Prison required for those accused of the Cornavin UBS robbery

Back to the case of the hostage-taking for the robbery of a UBS bank, in Cornavin, in 2013. Prosecutor Sara Garbaski gave her indictment this followingnoon.

The prosecutor is asking for prison sentences ranging from 3 to 4 and a half years for the defendants. The heaviest sentence being directed to the man identified as the main organizer of the robbery. The 24-year-old defendant at the time said during his hearing on Wednesday that he had actually considered in 2011 the robbery of this bank but denied having carried out this coup, which occurred two years later. He also denies having organized the hostage-taking of the family of a bank employee. The defense will plead next Monday.
