Quito – In the brutal power struggle between drug cartels and the government in Ecuador, all correctional officers taken hostage have now been released. Initially, 41 prison guards and administrative staff were released. The remaining 136 correctional officers, who had been held in several prisons by mutinous prisoners, followed later.
