BOUIRA – The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, on Monday in Bouira called on private sector investors to create “maximum resources” in order to take part in the development of national industry.
During a press briefing at the end of a working visit he made to the wilaya of Bouira, Mr. Aoun indicated that for private investors, they should “try to create the maximum of resources” to be able to take part in the industrial development of our country.
He underlined in the same context that the industry is not the prerogative of the public sector only, indicating that “85% of the industry is in the hands of private investors and that is a very good thing”, he said.
Thus, the minister wanted to reassure investors that “everything is done so that they find no obstacle”, giving the example of the investment projects which have been visited in Bouira and which are “a living example”. , he adds.
Mr. Aoun said that his ministry is determined “to move towards a public sector to which objectives and performance contracts will be set”, indicating that this sector also needs “some reforms, and organization, especially the management point of view”.
As for the development of industrial zones and activity zones, Mr. Aoun declared that by the end of the current year, there will be a program for the connection to the electricity, gas and water, calling on investors to “contribute financially to help local authorities to develop these areas”.
Regarding the management of industrial land, the minister stressed on the occasion that things “will go very soon in the right direction”, also adding that the national industry “is doing well”.
The minister’s visit was marked by the inauguration of several factories, including a building materials production unit, a corrugated cardboard production unit, a led lamp manufacturing unit and a motorcycle manufacturing unit, located in the industrial zone of Oued El Berdi, as well as an elevator manufacturing unit in the municipality of El Esnam.
The Minister also recalled that dental anesthesia products are available at the level of public health structures and in certain private clinics.
