OUM EL BOUAGHI – The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, on Wednesday in Oum El Bouaghi called on private investors to “multiply the production of pharmaceutical products to reduce the import bill”.
Presiding over the inauguration of a production plant for medical reagents in the commune of Ain M’lila, the minister urged the managers of this production unit to move towards the 3×8 production system to increase production capacities and contribute to self-sufficiency.
On the occasion of the inauguration in the same commune of a company manufacturing anti-cancer drugs, the realization of which mobilized an investment of 5.4 billion DA, Mr. Aoun congratulated the owner of the company for this acquired and invited him to register as many drugs as possible in 2025 to supply the central pharmacies.
The Minister assured on the occasion that the State will continue its support for private investors and will remain at their side by offering them all the facilities and accompanying them to remove all the obstacles they encounter.
In the commune of Ouled Kacem, the Minister also kicked off an export operation of a shipment of 1.5 million units of medical and surgical gloves to Mauritania, expressing his satisfaction with the efforts made by this private company manufacturing medical gloves and hoping that Mauritania will be the door to Algerian companies to expand their exports to Africa.
In a press briefing at the end of his visit to the Sigus cement plant of the public group GICA, the minister called on company officials to mobilize to protect the environment and ensure that the health of citizens and nature are preserved against Pollution.
Previously, the Minister inquired in the commune of Oum El Bouaghi about the working conditions at the mills of Sidi R’ghiss belonging to the Agrodiv group and listened to the concerns of the workers.
The Minister began his working visit to the wilaya of Oum El Bouaghi by going to the public company manufacturing Saharan cabins in Ain M’lila where he followed a presentation on the industrial sector in the wilaya before inquire about the operation of this company.
