AvtoVAZ resumed production of Lada Granta with anti-lock braking system (ABS), according to a press release received by Autonews.ru.

Lada Granta is offered with two 1.6-liter power units to choose from. In the cheapest trim levels, an eight-valve version with 90 hp is available. More expensive versions are equipped with a 16-valve version of this internal combustion engine, whose power is 106 hp. An uncontested five-speed “mechanics” is joined to the engines.
At the moment, Lada Granta is the best-selling car in Russia. According to the results of the first six months of 2023, 98,113 vehicles of this family were sold in Russia.
In May last year, in Russia, against the backdrop of the departure of foreign suppliers and sanctions, a “simplified” technical regulation was introduced. The government, among other things, allowed the production of cars of environmental classes from Euro-0 to Euro-5, as well as not to install ABS and the ERA-GLONASS system.
