The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League in Algeria punished Mouloudia Algiers player Youssef Belaili for the behavior he took against referee Ghada Mahtouf.

In the Republic Cup quarter-final match between his team, Mouloudia Algiers, and Wydad Tlemcen, last Sunday, Youssef Belaili tried to kick a free ball for Mouloudia, but he tried to change the location of the ball, but the referee, Ghada Mahout, who was officiating her first match in the Algerian Cup, waved the yellow card in his face, so he then tried to prevent her from doing so. He took her by the hand and entered into a discussion with her, but she insisted on her position and showed the card.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League in Algeria decided to fine Youssef Blaili an amount of 100 million Algerian centimes due to his violent protest against the refereeing of the Republic Cup quarter-final match between his team, Mouloudia Algiers and Wydad Tlemcen, last Sunday.

Mouloudia qualified for the semi-finals of the Algerian Football Cup after defeating Wydad Tlemcen with two clean goals, thanks to goals from Youssef Belaili and Ivorian Ouattara Roumarik.

It is noteworthy that Youssef Al-Belaili’s penalty is the second player to the player’s credit in the space of about a month after the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional League decided, in early March, to suspend the player for six matches, including two postponed matches, following his expulsion in the match that his team lost to ES Setif with an unanswered goal. He was fined $700 for unsportsmanlike conduct toward the referees.
