Reported Britannica, Kate Middleton is the eldest of three children of Michael and Carole Middleton. His siblings are Philippa (Pippa) and James. His parents met while working as flight attendants at British Airways, and in 1987 they founded a mail-order business selling supplies for children’s parties.

In 2001, Kate Middleton continued her education at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. It was here that he met Prince William, a fellow first-year art history student who was then second in line (after his father, Charles) to the British throne.
The two began dating, although their relationship was not made public until they were photographed together on vacation in Switzerland in 2004. Despite frequent paparazzi harassment, Kate tries to keep a private life. After graduating from St. Andrews in 2005, he briefly worked as an accessories buyer for a clothing retailer. Kate went on to take on various roles in her parents’ company while also doing a number of charity work.
