Kochi: The High Court is considering the anticipatory bail application of Dileep and his co-accused in the conspiracy case of the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The prosecution demanded that Dileep be questioned in custody and therefore not granted anticipatory bail.
The phones presented by Dileep are still unclear. The prosecution said that Dileep had not produced one of the requested phones. According to Dileep, this is an abandoned phone that was used in the past. The prosecution argued that it was a lie to say that he did not know about the phone that made about 2000 calls and that Dileep was trying to hide the evidence. The investigation team has handed over the information including the IMEI number of the phone to the court.
The court told Dileep’s lawyer that bail could not be granted if he did not cooperate with the investigation. The court allowed the probe team to examine the phones produced before the Dileep High Court registrar. The case has been adjourned for a while. Only then will the court consider the case.
Meanwhile, the trial court has ordered that the ongoing probe into the attack on the actress be completed within a month. The trial court rejected the prosecution’s request for six months for further investigation. The court said the final report should be submitted before March 1.
