The courage to self-revolution is the most distinctive character of our party, and it is a distinctive sign that our party is different from other parties. Throughout the history of the development of political parties in the world, no political party has always insisted on self-revolution like ours. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: “For the past 100 years, the party has relied on developing people’s democracy and accepting people’s supervision outside the party, and internally relying on comprehensively and strictly governing the party, promoting self-revolution, having the courage to uphold the truth, correct mistakes, and have the courage to turn inward and scrape the bone to cure poison. This ensures that the party will continue to prosper and grow continuously.” Apart from the interests of the country, the nation, and the people, our party has no special interests of its own, so it can not seek self-interest, dare to face problems, and be brave in self-revolution. It is through self-revolution that our party will not change in quality, change or taste, maintain the advanced nature and purity of a Marxist party, and unite and lead the people to victory one after another in revolution, construction and reform.
Our party has continuously advanced the great self-revolution in its century-long struggle and accumulated a lot of valuable experience. It is an inevitable requirement to advance the great self-revolution to fix these valuable experiences in the form of intra-party regulations and legal norms in a timely manner, and to improve the level of institutionalization in the management of the party, the state and the state. As we embark on a new journey to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way, we will inevitably encounter various tests. The more we face the test of risks, the more we cannot forget the original mission of the party, and the more we need to promote the great self-revolution. The system is fundamental, overall, stable and long-term. Whether it is adhering to the fundamental political direction of self-revolution, tempering sharp ideological weapons for self-revolution, enriching effective ways of self-revolution, or fighting a tough and protracted battle for self-revolution, and forging a cadre of cadres who are brave in struggle and self-revolution, it is necessary to establish rules and regulations. The system cannot be separated from the system guarantee. In the new era, in order to carry out the great self-revolution of comprehensively and strictly governing the party to the end, it is necessary to further consolidate the foundation, enhance the advantages, make up for the shortcomings, and strengthen the weak points, improve various institutional arrangements for promoting the great self-revolution, and ensure that the party is always the leader. At the forefront of the times, the people wholeheartedly support, the courage to self-revolution, withstanding the test of various storms, a vigorous Marxist ruling party.
In order to provide institutional guarantees for advancing the great self-revolution, we must deeply understand the decisive significance of the “two establishments”, strengthen the “four consciousnesses”, strengthen the “four self-confidences”, and achieve the “two maintenances”. Drawing on wisdom and strength, focusing on the major issue of the times, “what kind of long-term governing Marxist political party and how to build a long-term governing Marxist political party?” , to improve political standing, shoulder political responsibilities, and continuously promote the construction of laws and regulations within the party.
