The PS reaffirmed itself on Saturday as the workers’ party. On the occasion of the Summer Universities, the President, Paul Magnette, launched the Socialists’ pre-election campaign by making the improvement of working conditions and social protection for low- and medium-wage workers one of his priorities.
“There is only one big party of the workers, which defends all the workers, it is us, it is the PS“, he launched in front of the activists gathered at the Théâtre de Mons. If unemployment is falling, the number of people suffering from illness or disability is experiencing an unprecedented increase.
“In the battles of the next few months, it is obvious that the issue of protecting the workers who have the most difficulty today must be central“, added Mr. Magnette, recalling that it was in the sectors which appeared to be essential during the health crisis that the harshest conditions were observed.
