January 2023 Free Games Rumors: Rumors about new free games that should be included in the PS Plus subscription from January 2023 are starting to circulate. Sites like The Loadout give their monthly forecasts. There’s a wild mix of titles for the PS5 and PS4:
- Little Nightmares 2 (2021): This dark fairy tale game puts you in control of an adorable ‘headbag’ bearer who battles the nightmares for which it is named.
- Generation Zero (2018): A co-op action game where you fight with friends against big robots in an open world.
- Monster Hunter World (2018): You are a hunter who hunts large dinosaurs and uses their remains to craft powerful gear to hunt even bigger dinosaurs. The simple concept shines with an amazing tactic.
- Mafia: Definitiv Edition (2020): We slip into the shoes of a mafioso in a suit who climbs the ranks of Cosa Nostra and travels a lot by car.
- Subnautica: Below Zero (2019): The smash hit Subnautica gets a worthy expansion, in which you once again dive into the depths of the ocean in search of resources to craft and avoid creepy creatures of the deep.
We believe, however, that the rumors about January games on PS Plus are unfounded. The current predictions are rather wishes that could come true, but which are far from being obligatory. Solid leaks are different.

Leaks on free PS Plus games in January: There are no real leaks yet, i.e. information revealed by insiders, which are simply not official (situation as of 11.12.2022).
But over the past few months, leakers of Dealabs have surprisingly often been very accurate in their PS Plus game predictions. The current December line-up of PS Plus games was revealed on November 29. We also expect a leak for January 2023, for example around Christmas or New Year.
