Back in March of this year, sources Tom Henderson confirmed that Sony working on PS5 Pro, and its release may take place as early as the end of 2024. It seems that at that time many considered the news not entirely accurate, so they did not attach much importance to it.
However, Henderson is 100% sure that the PlayStation 5 Pro is indeed in development. He also noted that it might well be canceled at any time – apparently, this possibility remains, since the console has not yet been officially announced.
The insider is unable to share any details, but according to him, the first dev kits will be transferred to Sony’s internal game studios over the next few months, and to third-party developers by the end of this year.
Recall that earlier Henderson also reported on the creation of a PS5 with a removable drive, which supposedly will hit the market at the end of this year. The main goal of this model is to reduce production and shipping costs.
