PS5: why the price has increased?
In this month of October, we imagine that the PS5 will again be available (still in a limited way) on reseller sites like Micromania, Rakuten, Amazon, Cdiscount, Fnac or Boulanger. Even if getting your hands on the console is synonymous with an obstacle course, Sony did not hesitate at the end of August to increase the prices of the two PS5s. The PS5 Digital Edition is now sold for 449.99 euros instead of 399.99 euros and the PS5 Standard has seen its price drop from 499.99 euros to 549.99 euros. Sony justified this price increase by global inflation. Either way, that doesn’t stop fans of the brand from wanting to get the console. The Digital Edition and the Standard Edition of the PlayStation 5 are sold at different prices for a simple reason. As its name suggests, the PS5 Digital allows you to play games purchased online, while the Standard Edition includes a BluRay disc player.
PS5: where to buy the Sony console?
The PS5 is sold on many sites such as the official Sony site or on reseller sites, but not only. Indeed, the PS5 can also be found (even if it is rarer), in store. To put the odds on your side and get your PS5 before the console officially turns two, here are some tips. Register on the Sony’s official waiting list to maximize your chances. On reseller sites, activate email alerts to be among the first to know when the console is back in stock. When you can, remember to put the console upstream in your basket, but also to fill in your personal information to save time.
