A Brother tried to kill himself on Friday during World Youth Days in Antsirabe. He jumped into a well at a city reception center. “People who lived there intervened quickly to save him. He came out alive. We were nevertheless called to calm him down. He was injected with a sedative. He was drunk and very agitated”, indicates a doctor who carried out the interventions, yesterday. Once calmed down, the religious was admitted to a health center in the city of Antsirabe where he is undergoing treatment.
According to a source, this young Brother took action because his responsibilities during the event would have been too heavy for him. Measures will be taken at the level of his order. “You can’t keep a person who doesn’t set a good example for others,” says a priest.
