The 90-year-old lady who had been missing since this Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the morning has unfortunately succumbed.
The old lady had left her home in Prats-de-Mollo this Saturday shortly before 10 am and had therefore not given any sign of life.
As soon as the alert was given, searches were initiated by the gendarmerie services with the support of a dog team, the Bolquère CRS mountain rescue specialists and the Dragon 66 helicopter for civil security. In the evening Saturday, the sweeping of the surroundings remained in vain and the investigations thus resumed this Sunday at the first hour.
But very quickly, the soldiers discovered the body of the nonagenarian, about twenty meters below the road and 4 km from her home.
According to the first elements, she would have lost her way and would have probably fallen in this particularly steep place without anyone being able to see her and come to her aid.
