Doha: Sanskriti – CV Sriraman Sahitya Award was presented to American Malayali writer Priya Joseph. Chairman of the Award Selection Committee Dr. Sanskriti General Secretary AK Jalil presented the award in the presence of EP Rajagopalan, ICC President PN Baburajan, Award Committee Convenor EM Sudheer, Sanskriti office-bearers and former office-bearers. Sanskriti Vice President Manaf Atupuram presented the cash award of Rs.50,000.
Literary EP Rajagopalan delivered a lecture on the theme “Narrative and Freedom”. Awardee Tripriya Joseph delivered the reply speech. A video presentation introducing the life and writings of CV Sri Rama was screened as part of the program. Inauguration of membership activities of Sanskriti for the year, Academic Excellence Awards for children of Sanskriti members who achieved outstanding results, As part of the Sanskriti Adranilav Kavitapalana program, Sanskriti respect for the preliminary stage judges and those who performed the grooming were also held as part of the programs.
Sanskriti Vice President Manaf Atupuram presided over the program which started with condolences on the death of the late football legend Pele. General Secretary AK Jalil welcomed the award. Award Committee Convenor EM Sudheer spoke about the award. Sanskriti Secretary Suhas Parakandi also thanked.
