“The council chamber has just confirmed the detention of Mr. Giorgi for one month,” said the lawyer, Pierre Monville, in an email.
The council chamber confirmed the preventive detention of Francesco Giorgi (MEP Eva Kaili’s companion) and former MEP Pier Antonio Panzeri.
Lobbyist Nicolo Figa-Talamanca (of the organization No Peace Without Justice) also remains detained but under the terms of the electronic bracelet.
Greek Deputy Speaker and MEP Eva Kaili was not present at today’s hearing due to a postponement she requested and will appear before the council chamber on December 22.
