O chip Snapdragon X Elite and Qualcomm some more details were revealed through benchmarks. After theoretically surpassing the numbers of the Apple M2, the model had the results of Geekbench 6 compared to models from Intel and AMD, but it didn’t leave much to be desired.

As a result, the company’s new component obtained 2,741 points in Single-core, while the Multi-core part of the test showed 13,021 points. It is worth noting that the evaluation was carried out with a platform equipped with 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM memory operating at 8533 MHz

In terms of performance, the Qualcomm chip presented a single-core performance superior to the Core i7-12700K models from Intel and Ryzen 9 7845HX from AMD. However, only 1 or 2 of its cores reached a speed of 4GHz, while the other two reached frequencies of 5.2 and 5 GHz, respectively.

Now, Intel’s version was 4% faster, while AMD’s was 5% faster in terms of multi-core. However, it is important to highlight that the Snapdragon X Elite managed to maintain this level of performance even working with a lower TDP compared to its rivals in this scenario.

The Qualcomm component works at consumptions of 28W and 80W, and only the first variant was tested against the 190W Intel and 110W AMD chip. Therefore, it can be said that the version with a TDP of 80W has the potential to surpass the two processors mentioned without major difficulties.

Even so, we can only be sure of this when the model has been tested in real scenarios. Until then, more news may be revealed about the Qualcomm chip that will equip computers in 2024.
