Sherif Saif Al-Nasr said: “Today, my younger half-sister, the artist Sherine Hanem Elham Saif Al-Nasr, passed away today. Prayers and burial took place in the family graves in peace and quiet, as the deceased requested, and the ceremony is limited to that without consolation, in accordance with her will.” He asked his followers to “pray for mercy and forgiveness for her.”
Actress Sherine Seif Al-Nasr was born in Jordan in 1967 to an Egyptian father, journalist Elham Seif Al-Nasr, and a Palestinian mother. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Egypt and lived for years in France until she met the artist Youssef Francis. Because of her aristocratic features and remarkable attractiveness, Francis decided to discover her artistically, and it was her first work. “One Thousand and One Nights” series in 1986.
Since the news of her death was announced, Sherine Seif Al-Nasr’s name has been on the “X” website in Egypt, and the site’s pioneers have circulated the news of her sudden death, expressing their shock, despite her disappearance from the artistic scene for more than 12 years.
Sherine participated in about 31 artistic works throughout her artistic career, starting with the series “One Thousand and One Nights” in 1986, and her last work was the series “The Hardest Decision” in 2007, and then she disappeared for 12 years until her death.
Although she retired from the arts and stayed away from screens and events for years, the news of her departure shocked her old fans, especially since she was one of the most famous drama stars in the 1990s.
